Tatiana Doronina was born on September 12, 1933 in Leningrad. Father – Vasily Ivanovich, participant of the Great Patriotic War. Mother – Anna Ivanovna. Parents were ordinary working people, natives of the small town of Danilov, Yaroslavl region, moved to Leningrad shortly before the birth of Tatiana. Sister – Galina.
The future actress with her mother and sister spent the Great Patriotic War in evacuation in the city of Danilov. After the war, the girl continued her studies at the Leningrad school. At the same time, Tatiana studied French, rhythmic gymnastics, singing, sports shooting and artistic words. Even then, her love for the theater woke up in her.
After the eighth grade, Doronina secretly from her parents went to Moscow and tried to enter the Moscow Art Theater School. They were about to enroll her when it turned out that she had not yet graduated from high school.
Two years later, having received a school certificate, the future star again went to Moscow and successfully passed the competition to all the theatrical schools of the capital. Tatyana chose the Moscow Art Theater School (course of Pavel Massalsky) for her studies, which she graduated in 1956. She played in graduation performances “Wolves and Sheep” and “The Importance of Being Earnest”.
In 1955, Tatyana Doronina made her film debut, playing in the melodrama directed by Mikhail Kalatozov “First Echelon”.
In the same year, the actress married her classmate at the Moscow Art Theater School Oleg Basilashvili, whose marriage lasted until 1963.
After graduating from college, Doronina and Oleg Basilashvili were sent by assignment to the Stalingrad (now Volgograd) Drama Theater, but they did not stay there for long. The director of the drama theater let the young actors go, and they went to Leningrad, where they entered the troupe of the Lenin Komsomol Theater. In 1959, Tatiana was noticed by the artistic director of the Leningrad BDT Georgy Tovstonogov and invited to his team. One of the first roles of the actress in the BDT was the role of Nadezhda Monakhova in the play “Barbara”, which made her famous throughout the theater in Leningrad. The audience literally burst into performances with her participation: “Irkutsk Story”, “Woe from Wit”, “Idiot”, “My Older Sister”, “Three Sisters”, “Virgin Soil Upturned”, “Roman Comedy”, etc.
After the main role in 1965, a whole series of films with her participation by Doronina were released in the film “Workers’ Village”, which were included in the golden fund of Russian cinema. From 1963 to 1966, Tatiana lived in a civil marriage with theater critic Anatoly Yufit.
In 1966, the artist moved to Moscow and became an actress of the Moscow Art Theater. She played in performances: “The Brothers Karamazov”, “Night Confession”, “At the Bottom”, “Dulcinea Tobosskaya” and others.
In the same year, Doronina married the playwright Edward Radzinsky. In the early 1970s, the couple separated.
In 1972, at the invitation of Andrei Goncharov, she joined the troupe of the Mayakovsky Theater, where she was a leading actress for more than 10 years. He starred in productions of “Man of La Mancha”, “bankrupt”, “Long live the Queen, viva!”, “Conversations with Socrates”, “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” “It is the absence of love and death” and on.
In 1973 Tatyana tied the knot with actor Boris Khimichev. In 1978, the couple divorced, finally separating only five years later.
